The music and images that you chose to go in this trailer are FANTASTIC! Very well suited and motivating! I really enjoy how the flashes of images near the beginning of the trailer coincide with the music (around the 10-15 second time). I feel like you have captured how inspiring of a topic this can be for future educators. I am definitely interested to learn about the material that you have to add later!
What a great movie trailer! I like that you have mentioned that it was created with iMovie. This way anyone who sees it and wants to create something similar will have no trouble figuring out what program they can use. Also, I like the topic you chose, students and self regulation. As future teachers it's an important inquiry to be made. The questions that you posed, the images of students and the inspirational quotes that you used all have piqued my interest and have made me want to learn more!
I do have a few constructive comments. You pose the question, "How can school personnel foster self-regulation in students?" I'm a little unclear about who you are referring to. Are you specifically talking about the teacher, a guidance counselor, principal or the entire school community? Also, I loved the word cloud that you included in your video, I just wish that you would have left it up on the screen for a little bit longer so I could have read it all.
One of my favourite aspects of your trailer were the movie credits that you created which were made to look like movie credits from a feature film - so neat! Did you use a special program to create them?
This was a great movie trailer, it was well put together. It captures the viewer’s eyes with the images, song, and even the inspirational quotes added, it’s amazing. I find this topic very interesting because, absolutely there has to be a strong foundation between school personnel in order to assist student's self regulation. It is very inspiring to see Teacher candidates be passionate about such an important topic. Overall, I believe you portrayed your passion about this research in your movie trailer, which leaves the viewers wanting to be more informed about this given topic. GREAT JOB!
